The brain child of one night at a bar, Lemon and I wondered if you could make a completely pointless game that was obvious from the start a waste of a player's time, but rewards them for playing: how long would players continue? Based on the myth of Sisyphus, players painstakingly click on on a boulder to push it up the hill, only to have it roll back down at random points. Players also have to click to get back down the hill, because this is a game that hates the player as much as the Greek gods. As players progress they get points to purchase upgrades (or downgrades) for Sisyphus or the boulder.
All assets were created in Adobe Illustrator, and sent to Lemon for implementation and coding. Although the original website is no longer available, a copy of the game can be played here: Futile.fun on GithubTools:Illustrator
